For a time machine to work most would want the portal to open up in the same place in space, but since the galaxies, solar systems and planets are spinning it’s probably unlikely that the same place in the future isn’t out in the middle of space. We would need to figure out portals through space with the tech identify the GPS locations of where it’s at. Portals to the future can either need the access and exit portal to be in the future as well, as if we learned how to identify and send it to there the exact machine is at without the GPS locations. Without a portal access point in the future location, we would need to have portals that we can GPS coordinately open with our predictions of where everything is in time. Or we used time travel to accurately bring back the maps of each year of existence from the maps of the future.
10,000 years from now, they designed a really good way of GPS logging each year or second of the universe. They from the future could bring all of their map data to the time machine. The ones working on collecting data still have to keep doing what they do to accurately measure the GPS locations throughout the rest of time.
We could just create the time portals within a disc shaped crystal piece.
Where it needs constant access to power.
Or has the ability to activate through time, which is harder, than just keeping it on all the time.
You can them have access to seeing where that same crystal is anywhere in the future, or the future looking back at us.. unless we are both using it at the same time.. so like we need to log every use starting from it’s existence, so that in the future, it can’t open up an event to when we are using it. We can basically use it whenever we want, but the more we use it, the less points in time the future can look back at us. We won’t have the logs of the future looking back possibly.
If yours logs you looking into the future.. then I’m the future, you can be ready for not being around . Or placing it where you want to see something from the future.
