Turning America into a communist country instantly could be better for the environment. Many people can get on ubi where they would spend less time driving and causing rush hour pollution.
Ubi could be given to those with low bank accounts first where it’s mostly covering rent, did and utilities. Those with larger bank accounts won’t get ubi until they run out of money and can’t pay their mortgage or bills. (So it could take years for some)
With a communism take over, people could be forced to switch job locations to where they would drive less. Like say a mechanic could be asked to move to a location much closer to where they live, costing us all less on gasoline pollution.
