if time moves faster on Mars than on earth, and we are working on the same technologies, it’s like any the time we spent on research as longer than that on Earth. Say its like 11 years went by on Mars while 10 years went by on Earth. They could run into discoveries faster and send it back to earth relatively soon.
We could also have a plan for a time forward time machine. A giant donut that we go approach the center and wait in the middle of. If the ring pulls 10,000 times the weight of the earth at all sides, then the entire area might have an overall gravity pull of 360,000 times ( it could be a different number, just a guess) that of the earth while keeping you weightless when parked at the center. The pull of the donut could affect the pull of time around the entire area, or the weightlessness in the center doesn’t affect time at all if time is affected by the gravity your affected by rather than the gravity your surrounded by. The donut could slide from the outermost to close to the center so that you can approach the center before the gravity pulls closer to around you.
It can be tested with time differences at the center of the light side and at the center of the dark side.
Where if it’s the same, then we could have the time tube or time sphere.
If it’s different, then probably not.
Also video of sun solar flares are actually slowed down versions of how fast it’s happening right there and then. While on the moon or on Mars footage would look like slightly sped up video of what it would look like if you were recording on the surface rather than from earth
