I was doing some personal work on surface area logic where I came to think that whichever shape lowers the surface area, while keeping the same volume, would have less surface area of contact of inside air to the walls and outside air to the outside walls.
I did some numbers and found that sphere was best, cylinder was somewhat in the middle but closer to rectangle and cube which were at the end. The random sizes gave me results like 8 percent less surface area for cylinder shapes and 21 percent less for sphere.
We could make office buildings or apartments out of spheres where we chop the bottom. The number change in surface area could be like 15 percent with the flat bottom.
This would improve energy efficiency. I searched this same topic on google and found out they also mentioned that the sphere as the most efficient shape.
