With the music industry and communism you won’t have sponsored or paid for music on the top of the most popular lists. There’s no money and making professional music could be volunteer hobbies. Music companies also would not be making quantity of similar sounding music in order to produce more and more in hope of making more money. Music could get more original too without others copying pop style trends that ended up getting more popular due to their repetitive catchiness. That repetitive catchiness could also be bad for us, like cigarettes or sugar, where people buy it so they keep making it to keep making money.
There could be different ways to categorize and sort charts or lists of new music like having them organized by daytime professions since they are volunteering to make music alongside their regular day job. With communism the people are working only one season per year and have plenty of time to create their own music. The communist company would supply music studios and equipment with access to all for free. Some rules may apply.
People would have access to all pre communism music for free as well. We would also be able to slim down to one music app. There would be software development work if we don’t have to maintain and update many different music apps.
